Who blogs, anyway?

We all know a painter whose house is peeling, right?

I'm that guy, when it comes to blogging. I've long since lost count of the blogs I've written and ghostwritten for others. But I've never blogged for myself. Never even thought to consider starting a blog.

Why? I suppose I was busy with clients' blogs. It's not much of an excuse, but it's what I've got and I'm sticking with it.

I've always known it was something I should do. I mean, these days, there are things every business should do and blogging is right up there with building a social media platform. It's how we brand ourselves.

For writers and editors, it's even more important than it is for others.

So now, as I transition away from three and a half wonderful years as staff writer, managing editor and executive editor of Metro Leader news magazines and kick my freelance copywriting, editing and coaching business back into high gear, I promise I'll give my own house the beautiful coat of paint that I'm promising to give yours when you seek my editorial services.

So, who blogs, anyway? Starting right now, me.

After all, it's only fair that you get a peek at the work I do for myself before you ask me to get to work on yours.
